Mr. Alan Day of ASD Vacation was recommended to us by Autism On The Seas. Alan was the one who arranged the hotels, air transportation, and transfers for our Western Caribbean cruise. We were so pleased by the services rendered by Alan. Our flight from Sacramento to Houston had been changed by United Airlines several times and yet Alan was able to upgrade us from Economy to Economy plus at no additional cost. Alan also sent us useful travel tips when traveling with our special needs child. He was able to make arrangements with TSA to assist us at the airport. He booked us at hotels without any hassle. He responded to my requests/questions very quickly either via telephone or email. The car/transfer service Alan arranged for us was reliable and provided service beyond our expectations. I will surely use ASD Vacation again for our next special needs vacation.

[My son] had a great vacation. The Trade Winds is ideally suited to meet [son]’s needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The guests did not seem to mind when [son] repeatedly asked them their names. It helped that the resort wasn’t too crowded and many of the guests were either from the Mid- West or were attending a conference so they had name tags.

The food and snacks were good. [Son] liked the slide, the laundry, the near by super market and convenience store. He also liked the pools and hot tubs. We were very pleased with the experience. There were a couple of other families with younger autistic kids and one guest that had a 48 year brother with Asperger’s. So [wife] and I were comfortable chatting about [son] and his odd habits,

The TSA in both Manchester and Tampa were helpful and courteous. South West was also fine and we did use priority boarding to find seats we prefer at the back of the plane.

Thanks for all of your help. I expect to contact you next year so we can do this again.

Thanks to ASD Vacations my family was able to have an amazing and successful trip to Disney World. We’d wanted to go for some time but did not know how to manage it with my daughter’s special needs. The Magic for Autism program along with ASD Vacations made it possible for our whole family to travel to Florida (stress-free!) and enjoy Blizzard Beach, Epcot Center and Magic Kingdom! We were also able to have respite staff with us in the parks so our family could stay together. I recommend ASD Vacations to everyone I know. Vacationing together as a family was not something I thought was even possible a couple years ago. Now our family can’t wait to take another trip to Disney.

Alan also helped me arrange a short vacation of my own – a much need mom’s getaway to Panama.

Thank you for helping us make special memories for our girls!

The trip was simply extraordinary! Flights were on time, TSA was waiting for us, and Delta let me use a wheel chair for [son] since he is a runner. I call it “The magic chair.” He remained in it till we boarded even when he was stationary! Peir 66 was perfect. They were located about 3 minutes from the port and they have a waterfall over the pool, which is Nirvana to an Autistic kid! . The Autism of the Seas program was phenomenal!!! The staff was amazing and they created a safe and fun environment. They had a great schedule and a variety of activities. The respite time was awesome. We embarked and disembarked with absolute ease. Without this progream, the trip would have been very chaotic and unpleasant with waiting on lines etc. They really came through and I could actually relax! I definitely plan to cruise next Summer. When we set sail [son] hugged me and said “Mommy I so happy!” It was a trip of a lifetime for him. Thank you Alan, from the bottom of my heart for all of your help. It was an unforgettable vacation! Please keep me informed when if you come across any specials or other vacations geared for autistic children. Again…many thanks and best wishes.

Your arrangements could not have been more helpful. The procedure at the airport was a breeze. TSA took care of everything.

Trade winds was just what we were looking for with the boys. They are beach bums and couldn’t be happier with all that was provided. Staff and all service people were exceptional.

And a big thanks to you Alan. You turned what usually is a very stressful situation into a piece of cake.

“We had a wonderful trip!  Both girls enjoyed it thoroughly and we experienced no major issues.

Transportation times for the flights could not have been better.  We did not have to rush or get kids up early and that kept anxiety at bay.   All other things about the flight were great and [our daughter] overcame her fear of flying!  Yay!

We all thank you very much!  I am not sure we would have tried this without seeing your trip for folks with autism.  Even though that did not work out, it still pushed us to move forward.  The girls had a very positive experience they will never forget and we are so glad we went!

Thanks again,

“We are back from our wonderful trip to Disney World!

I want to thank you for all your help and patience working with us in planning the vacation.  [my son] did amazing – he was so good on both plane flights.  And both he and [my daughter] had an amazing time at the parks!  They both loved Space Mountain, Expedition Everest and most all of Typhoon Lagoon!  Overall it was a really nice family trip and we made wonderful memories there.

The TSA agent in Boston was fabulous.  He called us Sunday am and met us at the Jet Blue counter.  He took us from there, through security and all the way to the gate!  It was really exceptional attention.  I highly recommend it to all your clients, as I am sure you do!    Thank you for setting that service up for us.”

Thanks again for all your help with the trip.  We were so nervous about this experience and it ended up being fabulous.  I am really glad you held my hand through the planning – so patient!  You gave our family a wonderful memory and confidence to travel again!”

“We love to travel as a family and we travel often. However, using your service made our ski vacation so much more enjoyable for everyone than if we had planned it on our own. From beginning to end, the trip was stress free. We had a TSA agent call us before we left home and he met us at the airport and walked us through security. We had priority boarding on the plane and we got the same level of service on the way back. The Adaptive Sports Center was wonderful. The staff and volunteers picked up on our son’s needs and athletic ability right away and had him on the slopes the first day. No one in our family had any ski experience and it was nice that we could all take lessons from one place. They set such a high bar for customer service and attention to detail that I can’t imagine going to ski anywhere else. I also can’t imagine booking a major vacation without your services. Thank you for helping us make some great memories”

“I can honestly say [Alan] is one of the hardest working individuals that will go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that his clients are 100% satisfied. It is very rare to find such dedicated and caring professionals.”

Ramona, New York

“[Alan] consistently surpassed my expectations with his responsiveness, attention to detail, and professionalism. I would highly recommend him with any project that requires a high level of client interaction.”
